Flash Floods Bring Damage to Chicago Home

Flood damage is the most severe type of water loss a homeowner can experience. Once exposed to water, sheetrock is not restorable, and we cut it away using a technique referred to as a "flood cut." This action allows for the removal of damaged sheetrock and lets airflow happen within the wall cavity for complete drying.

We removed a saturated area rug and placed the sofa and chairs up on blocks for drying as only the legs of the furnishings had been exposed to groundwater.
