Calumet City Water Loss
The pressurized supply line from the dishwasher soaked this inexpensive, laminated flooring in a Calumet City kitchen. SERVPRO recommends that water-busy areas like bathrooms, laundry closets, and kitchens be covered with linoleum, tile, or some other product impervious to water. Our crew vacuumed out the standing water after we turned off the source of the leak. At least our fast action salvaged the base cabinets and toe kicks from having to be replaced. The concrete pad, after a slow drying process over several days, and being checked with a moisture meter to verify the correct 8-12% moisture content level has been restored, is ready for new flooring. Our drying equipment has been removed, and the water damaged kitchen is neat and clean, we always leave the job site in better condition than when we first arrived.
